Sasha Gordon is a Russian-born award-winning writer/director and composer. Her debut comedy feature won awards at multiple festivals (among them Austin, Santa Barbara, Bentonville, Woodstock) before being released by Samuel Goldwyn to a fantastic audience and critical reception. The LA Times called It Had To Be You “A memorable romantic comedy that stands to bring back the genre’s good name … as funny, endearing and enjoyably off-kilter as its adorable star, Cristin Milioti.” Sasha was subsequently named one of “25 Screenwriters to Watch” by Moviemaker Magazine. Sasha has scored over 50 features and television shows (among them the Oscar-winning God Of Love and Amazon’s Emmy-winning Gortimer Gibbons.) Sasha’s pilot Maggie, a dramedy about motherhood, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival to a fantastic critical and audience reception, and went on to win best pilot at SXSW. Sasha is currently working on her second feature, Masha from Russia, which was just part of the TFI network and won the Panavision grant as well as the Adrienne Shelly grant. Sasha lives in New York with her husband and baby girl.
