Rose Troche was born in 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She is a director and producer, known for THE SAFETY OF OBJECTS (2001), GO FISH (1994) and BEDROOMS AND HALLWAYS (1998). She is also noted for her television work including SIX FEET UNDER and THE L WORD. Troche also produced another Adrienne Shelly grant winner, Stacie Passon’s CONCUSSION (2013).
Troche was honored with 2015 Fusion Achievement Award at Outfest 2015 for her outstanding work representing the LGBT community in her work.
Recently Troche directed and produced two immersive short films for Specular Theory, a virtual reality production company and creative technology lab. PERSPECTIVE CHAPTER 1: THE PARTY premiered at Sundance in 2015 and PERSPECTIVE CHAPTER 2: THE MISDEMEANOR premiered at Sundance 2016 and screened at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival. Troche also wrote and directed SUAGR a 5 chapter scripted series for PBS Indies.
She is currently in pre-production on her fourth feature, THIS IS NOT ME.
