Hadas Ayalon is a director, screenwriter and film editor living in Tel Aviv. Her first short film Paris on the Water (2014) was the first Israeli film to ever win the Student Academy Award (the “Oscars”). It also won the Israeli Academy Award for Best Narrative Short Film and was screened nationally and internationally. Her film “We Were the Others” (2019) that tells the story of the underground undocumented life of gay men in Israell during the 1960-70s was nominated for the Israeli Academy Award for the best documentary.

Her editing work includes Ada Ushpiz’s Vita Activa – The Spirit Life of Hannah Arendt, and David Fisher’s Six Million and one.

These days she is in pre-production for In a Minute You’ll Be Gone, her first feature film. The film participated in Sundance’s Screenwriters Lab 2023 and Sundance Director’s Lab 2023. It was one of 8 projects that were chosen out of thousands of applications. It also won first prize in the Jerusalem Festival pitching contest.
