Thais Drassinower is a Peruvian filmmaker based in New York City where she is finishing her last year of an MFA in Film Directing at Columbia University.

Her previous work in advertising has been awarded at international creativity festivals such as El Ojo de Iberoamérica and the U.S.H Hispanic Idea Awards.
Her first short film“Memories of The Sea” was an Official Selection at various international film festivals including Palm Springs Shortfest and Aspen Shortsfest. It was chosen “Best of the Fest” at the New York International Children Film Festival and was taken on a tour across America to be showcased in various cities.
Her second short “Baby” received the “James Bridges Production Award” and “Adrienne Shelly Foundation Award” for Best Female Director. Thais is currently working on the screenplay of her first feature film which was among 20 finalists to the Cine Qua Non lab.

Thais is bilingual in Spanish and English, and speaks French, Portuguese and Hebrew fluently. She is available for freelance film work around the globe.
