Florence Pelletier is a filmmaker from Montreal. She has completed a degree in film production at Concordia University. In the last four years, Florence has directed several short films that have screened at festivals internationally. Her short film My Black-Capped Angels (Mes Anges à Tête Noir), co-directed with Juliette Gosselin, screened in festivals around Canada and won prizes such as ‘Best Film by a Female Director” at the National Screen Institute Online Short Film Festival. In 2014, her short film Bromance was selected for the Air Canada Enroute Film Festival, the Portobello Film Festival in London, and the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. Her latest short film Fondue Chinoise, won the Jury Prize in the student category of the Montreal World Film Festival. Florence recently directed and edited four short documentaries for the interactive online platform Laboratoire MaTV. Florence is currently in preproduction for her next short film Fougueuse, which will be shot June 2016.
Juliette Gosselin studied screenwriting and filmmaking at the University of Quebec in Montreal. In the past three years, Juliette has written and directed five shorts, the first one being My Black-Capped Angels. Most of them have been presented and rewarded in many Canadian film festivals. In 2015, her short Pute No. 2 was selected in Telefilm Canada’s Not Short on Talent program in Cannes. Last November, Juliette launched her very first webseries Switch & Bitch on the online portal of the TV5 channel. The second season is on its way. The aspiring filmmaker is undoubtedly and passionately making her way in the film world.
